Here is a de-skunking tip that has
really worked for me and several friends. If your
dog gets too friendly with a skunk, wash the dog
with soda water instead of tomato juice. It works
even better.
To help cut or grind nails without
hitting the quick, try putting a small flashlight
behind the nail. The light helps the insides show
up better.

vacuuming up cinammon, our vacuum cleaner can
make the whole house smell heavenly for use after
use -- eliminating doggie odors.
For teething puppies, take a thick,
clean sock, knot it in the middle, wet it, and
freeze it in a Baggie. Take it out when frozen
and give it to the puppies. The cold numbs their
gums. I have not had any destructive chewing
since I started using these frozen socks for
teething puppies.
When you're giving your dog a bath,
take a hunk of steel wool and stuff it into the
drain to prevent the hairs from clogging it up.
